Regrets

We constantly ask ourselves questions using that internal dialogue we call thought.  However until we externalise our thoughts they tend not to become a reality that must be addressed in some way.

This YouTube video really helped me through this process. Enjoy!

Example of a thought I turned into reality…._MG_1606-20140105-001758 I not only learned to ride a motorcycle, I have ridden around Europe on one!

Just thinking!

Although we can all get lonely at times, especially at those special times of year ‘I have learned that recently’…

‘It is far better to be alone on a rooftop with peace and a morsel of dry bread, than to spend any time in a house filled with the best food and wine with Contentious or Negative people, who do nothing more than drain you of what little joy you possess.’

We entered this world alone and one day we shall depart alone to Glory one day, so would it not be wise to learn to be alone and take responsibility for our own joy instead of looking to others to bring us their joy.

Be Bold, Be Faithful and Be True!

“Remove the foundations on which any country, building or relationship has been built and it will certainly collapse.”

I will never deny or water down my faith in Christ Jesus as a Christian to gain acceptance from any group, individual or political body. It is the foundation on which I try to build my life.
If this leads to ridicule or isolation so be it. I’ve made my choice!

I felt so strongly about what is being discussed in the media with regards to faith recently, that I had to draw my line in the sand and make my stance, in light of the current climate throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

God never said it would be easy!

Many of us who have come to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour never truly considered the true cost of our relationship with Him.

“A somewhat profound statement I hear you utter, and guess what? I agree with you totally”  However the gospel, which changes literally millions of lives around the world daily, is in itself profound. For God said;

Luke 14:28-29 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down and first count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it, lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin tomock him.” (NKJ)

How often we try to share our faith with others but let the circumstances or the fear of rejection hinder us? Christ has called us to be His witnesses, not only called us, but equipped us to do His will, His way, not through our own strength but through His Spirit and His Grace.

His commitment to us was unquestionable, His love undying and His limits unending.

Each day let us remind ourselves of this and with God’s help coupled with our daily submission, let us strive towards the mark.

Prayer is our direct link to God. So as we at the Walk to Glory pray that God uses us to bless and encourage you all. Please pray likewise that He will use you to bless and encourage others with His love and words.

I stand in awe!

It was you who said, ‘seek ye first the kingdom of God and all it’s righteousness…’
So I did, I left my home, and followed your instructions as best I could.
Then I found your presence amongst your people in a small church in a small town.
I asked you to meet my needs and you provided me with a temporary home that I could only ever dream of having… for that I praise your name.
You then provided a humble job that did just that, meet my needs, and nothing more…for this I am grateful.
You surrounded me with your people in their many differing guises and they allowed me to dwell amongst them… for that I feel blessed.
You restored me and I felt that desire to draw nearer to you in a new way… for your Grace I bow down at your feet.
You opened my eyes and softened my heart…for that I adore you. You brought someone into my life to demonstrate your never ending love towards me…for that I stand in awe of you.
All that is left for me to do is to trust and obey and show my love for you through the way I treat such a special gift.
And to my Niece Natalie…thank you for inspiring me to write this.

Serving Others

The best way to find the true nature of others is to humble yourself and serve them.

That’s all Jesus did, and look what they did to him!

The Police, Firemen and Ambulance Service all serve us and look how they are treated, especially at weekends.

Soldiers are serving their country all around the world 24/7.. God bless them… but they’re only recognised if they suffer or die.

And yet people daily pay to worship football teams and television celebrities who only serve themselves.

So those of us who choose to serve others may never receive the adulation of a self server, but will live safe in the knowledge that their actions are done out of love and caring for their fellow man. But there is one who sees all and in the fullness of time we will all be known by the fruits of our lives.

Copper Wire!

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, British scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 200 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 150 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the Brit's, in the weeks that followed, a German archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a story published in  der SPIEGEL : "German archaeologists, finding traces of 250-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network 50 years earlier than the British".

One week later, the Dept of Minerals and Energy in Jamaica, reported the following:

"After digging as deep as 30 feet in Central Kingston, in a region North of Manchester, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Winston CL (Cool-Locks) Smyth has therefore concluded that 250 years ago, Jamaica had already gone wireless."

“Yeah-Maan..! Jus mak a man proud-dabee Jamaican!”

THE GOLDEN TELEPHONE

Whilst on vacation in Rome, I noticed a marble column in St. Peter's with a golden telephone on it.  As a young priest passed by, I asked who the telephone was for.  The priest told me it was a direct line to heaven, and if I'd like to call, it would be a thousand dollars.  I was amazed, but declined the offer.

Throughout Italy, I kept seeing the same golden telephone on a marble column.  At each, I asked about it and the answer was always the same:

It was a direct line to heaven and I could call for a thousand dollars.

Then – I continued my tour and arrived in Israel.  I decided to attend temple services at a local synagogue.  When I walked in the door I noticed the golden telephone. Underneath it there was a sign stating: "DIRECT LINE TO HEAVEN: 25 cents."

"Rabbi," I said, "I have been all over Italy and in all the cathedrals I visited, I've seen telephones exactly like this one.  But the price is always a thousand dollars.  Why is it that this one is only 25 cents?"

The rabbi smiled and said, "You're in Israel now. It's a local call."

We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy.

The amount of work is the same. – Carlos Casteneda

Disturbing signs

Now around the world people love to put up signs and warnings but every now and then I see the odd one that really disturbs me, eg.

BE AWARE
SECURITY GUARDS ARE OPERATING
IN AND AROUND THESE PREMISES
24 HOURS DAILY

Now I have a big problem with this informatin as it is posted all around the grounds of my local hospital.

I honestly thought that only these chaps…

..are supposed to deal with operations anywhere on the premises!

Or is really true that the health service are really struggling that much!
